Terms & Conditions

1. General Provisions

These terms and conditions (hereinafter - "Terms") govern the use of the website www.recro.eu and the ordering and provision of transmission remanufacturing, repair, and related goods and services by SIA "RECRO" (hereinafter - "RECRO", "we", "our").

By using the website, submitting an inquiry, or placing an order, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

3. Services and Products

RECRO remanufactures and repairs automatic transmissions, torque converters, valve bodies, transfer cases and differentials, and sells remanufactured units. Our offering includes:

  • Automatic transmission remanufacturing and repair;
  • Torque converter, valve body, transfer case and differential repair;
  • Diagnostics and dyno-bench testing;
  • Sale of remanufactured units and spare parts through our shop;
  • Transmission solutions for commercial and industrial vehicles.

The exact description, specification, and price of a given service or product are confirmed in an individual quote prior to order fulfilment.

4. Inquiries, Quotes and Orders

The order process generally works as follows:

  • The customer submits an inquiry via the contact form, email, or phone, providing details of the vehicle/unit;
  • RECRO prepares and sends an individual price quote, which may include diagnostic findings;
  • An order is considered confirmed once the customer accepts the quote in writing (by email or other written form);
  • RECRO reserves the right to decline an order if the received unit does not match the diagnosis or is not remanufacturable.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices listed on the website and in quotes are in euro (EUR) and, unless stated otherwise, do not include delivery costs. Payment terms:

  • The price is fixed in the individual quote or invoice;
  • An advance payment may be required before work begins;
  • The remaining balance is due before shipment or per the terms stated on the invoice;
  • RECRO reserves the right to suspend order fulfilment or delivery if payment is not received by the due date.

6. Exchange Units and Core Deposit

For certain services (e.g. purchasing an exchange unit), a core deposit may be charged for the old unit:

  • The deposit is refunded once the customer returns the old (core) unit in acceptable, rebuildable condition;
  • If the old unit is not returned within the specified period, or is damaged, incomplete, or not remanufacturable, the deposit is not refunded;
  • Exact conditions and deadlines are set out in the individual quote.

7. Delivery

RECRO ships worldwide using trusted logistics partners.

  • Delivery time is stated in the order confirmation and may vary by destination;
  • Delivery costs are calculated separately unless stated otherwise;
  • Risk of damage to the goods passes to the customer once the goods are handed over to the carrier;
  • The customer is responsible for providing a correct and complete delivery address.

8. Warranty

All RECRO remanufactured units carry a written warranty, with full terms available on our Warranty Terms page. Key principles:

  • Standard warranty: 12 months or 50,000 km (whichever comes first);
  • Premium warranty (select models, including Scania Opticruise remanufactures): up to 24 months or 100,000 km;
  • The warranty covers manufacturing defects and failures of remanufactured parts, provided the operating conditions are met (including oil changes every 60,000 km max);
  • The warranty excludes chip tuning, incorrect use, water contamination, unauthorised disassembly, and electronic components (ECU/TCM).

9. Right of Withdrawal and Returns

Because most RECRO services are individually customised to a specific unit or vehicle, they are generally not subject to the standard 14-day right of withdrawal that applies under consumer protection law to goods made to the consumer's specifications.

  • Once work on a unit has begun, the order cannot be cancelled without covering the costs already incurred;
  • Standard shop products (without individual customisation) may be subject to statutory withdrawal rights - please contact us to discuss your specific case;
  • In the event of a manufacturing defect, the Warranty Terms apply rather than the right of withdrawal.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on www.recro.eu - including text, images, logos, trademarks and design - is owned by SIA "RECRO" or its licensors. Copying, distributing or using this content for commercial purposes without RECRO's prior written consent is prohibited.

11. Limitation of Liability

RECRO is not liable for:

  • Indirect losses, loss of profit, or downtime costs arising from the repair or delivery of a unit;
  • Damage resulting from improper installation, operation, or maintenance after the unit has been handed over to the customer;
  • Delays caused by third parties (such as carriers).

Nothing in these Terms limits RECRO's liability where such limitation is not permitted by applicable law (for example, liability for personal injury caused by negligence).

12. Force Majeure

RECRO is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond its reasonable control (natural disasters, war, strikes, government action, supply chain disruptions, etc.).

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Latvia.

  • Disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through negotiation between the parties;
  • If no agreement can be reached, the dispute shall be resolved in the courts of the Republic of Latvia;
  • EU consumers may also use the European Union Online Dispute Resolution platform (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

14. Changes to the Terms

RECRO reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. Changes take effect once published on www.recro.eu. Material changes do not affect orders already confirmed.
